I’m a little bit late with this one, but at the end of August we went to Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland for a wedding.  We travelled up in the morning of the wedding day, and just as we were leaving it started raining.  Luckily for the bride and groom the weather soon cleared up and it turned out to be a glorious sunny day.  Having never been to that part of England before I was astounded at the scenary.  The wedding ceremony was lovely, and the setting was just fabulous, offering amazing views over the sandy beach and good view of Holy Island.

We stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast – Brock Mill Farm Cottages in Beal, where we were met with a very friendly host who made our 1 night stay perfect.  On the following day we drove back down south and stopped in at Alnwick, which also has a castle.
