I recently read this quite interesting book called Never Split the Difference, about negotiations. The author was a hostage negotiator and I came across a YouTube video of him somehow and I found the subject quite interesting of how he almost uses ‘mind control’ to lead the hostage to give up the hostage. There is something mesmerising about hearing and watching Chris Voss speak, so I ordered the book.
The book covers some interesting areas around human psychology, the brain, human behaviour and communication. I found it a fascinating read and there is a handy crib sheet at the end summarising each chapter. I feel this will help me to become a better negotiator in all areas of my life. 9/10
